25 अगस्त 1609 को गैलीलियो गैलिली ने वेनिस में अपनी बेहतर बनाई गई दूरबीन का प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने दूरबीन की मदद से आकाश का अधिक विस्तृत अध्ययन किया और बाद में चंद्रमा की सतह, बृहस्पति के उपग्रहों तथा अन्य खगोलीय पिंडों के महत्वपूर्ण अवलोकन किए। इससे आधुनिक खगोल विज्ञान को नई दिशा मिली।On 25 August 1609, Galileo Galilei demonstrated an improved telescope in Venice. He later used telescopes to make detailed observations of the sky, including the Moon’s surface and Jupiter’s moons. His observations challenged existing ideas and helped open a new chapter in the development of modern astronomy.
