भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन
8 अगस्त 1942 को मुंबई (तत्कालीन बंबई) के गोवालिया टैंक मैदान (आज का अगस्त क्रांति मैदान) में आयोजित अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस समिति (AICC) के अधिवेशन में महात्मा गांधी ने ब्रिटिश शासन के खिलाफ भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन (Quit India Movement) का आह्वान किया।
अपने ऐतिहासिक भाषण में गांधीजी ने देशवासियों को "करो या मरो (Do or Die)" का संदेश दिया। उनका आशय था कि भारत की स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त करने के लिए हर भारतीय को अहिंसक तरीके से अंतिम संघर्ष करना होगा।
Quit India Movement
On 8 August 1942, at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) session held at Gowalia Tank Maidan (now August Kranti Maidan) in Bombay (now Mumbai), Mahatma Gandhi called upon the people of India to launch the Quit India Movement against British rule.
In his historic speech, Gandhi gave the famous slogan "Do or Die." He urged every Indian to make a final non-violent struggle for India's independence and remain determined until the country achieved freedom.
