3 अगस्त 1958 को अमेरिका की परमाणु पनडुब्बी USS Nautilus ने एक ऐसा कारनामा किया, जिसने पूरी दुनिया को हैरान कर दिया। शीत युद्ध (Cold War) के दौरान बेहद गुप्त रखे गए इस मिशन में पनडुब्बी ने उत्तरी ध्रुव (North Pole) की सैकड़ों फीट मोटी और जानलेवा बर्फ की चादर के नीचे से गुजरकर इतिहास रच दिया था। हड्डियों को जमा देने वाले तापमान और बिना किसी जीपीएस नेटवर्क के, बर्फ के नीचे करीब 3,000 किलोमीटर का सफर तय करना उस समय की सबसे बड़ी तकनीकी और साहसिक कामयाबी थी। इस ऐतिहासिक घटना ने समुद्र की गहराइयों में इंसानी ताकत और आधुनिक विज्ञान का एक नया दौर शुरू कर दिया था।
On August 3, 1958, the American nuclear submarine USS Nautilus pulled off a feat that stunned the entire world. In a highly classified mission during the Cold War, the submarine made history by successfully navigating beneath the hundreds of feet thick, deadly ice sheets of the North Pole. Traveling nearly 3,000 kilometers under the ice in bone-chilling temperatures and without any GPS network was one of the greatest technical and adventurous achievements of that era. This historic event marked the beginning of a new chapter for human capability and modern science in the depths of the ocean.

यह खोज अप्रैल 2025 में यूसी बर्कले (UC Berkeley) के वैज्ञानिकों ने की थी। उन्होंने "Oz" नामक एक लेज़र डिवाइस का उपयोग करके इंसान की आंख के केवल 'हरे रंग' वाले सेल्स (M-cones) को एक्टिवेट किया। इससे दिमाग ने एक ऐसा "सुपर-सैचुरेटेड नीला-हरा" रंग देखा जो प्रकृति में मौजूद ही नहीं है। इसे ही उन्होंने 'Olo' नाम दिया।
This discovery was made by scientists at UC Berkeley in April 2025. Using a laser device named "Oz," they activated only the 'green-sensitive' cells (M-cones) in the human eye. This caused the brain to perceive a "super-saturated blue-green" color that does not exist in nature. They named this color 'Olo'.
